Accelerator pedal position sensor (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Release the bayonet retainer from the brake light switch and remove the switch.

2. Release the sensor from the mounting bracket.

3. Disconnect the sensor multi-pin electrical connector and remove the sensor.

4. Remove the sensor from the mounting bracket.

Installation

1. Install the sensor on the mounting bracket and connect the multi-pin electrical connector to it.

2. Replace the switch and secure the bayonet retainer.

3. While holding the brake pedal down, press the sensor all the way down and lock it onto the mounting bracket. Slowly release the brake pedal to keep the sensor in place.
