Fuel injection pump lever position sensor (electronic pedal) (Discovery 1)

Note: The sensor cannot be repaired.

1. Disconnect the battery.

2. Disconnect the sensor connector.



3. Unscrew the accelerator pedal quadrant mounting nut from the sensor and remove the quadrant.

4. Remove the two screws securing the sensor to the pedal bracket.

5. Remove the sensor.

6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Note: Do not operate the accelerator pedal if the sensor is not fully secured - this will damage the sensor.
