Repair — Fuel Level Sensor (Discovery 1)

Attention: Please follow safety rules.


To remove the sensor you will need a special key LST131.

Removal



1. Disconnect the battery.

2. Unfasten the rear mat holder.

3. Pull the carpet out from under the rear seat panels.

4. Lift the mat to expose the sound insulation.

5. Remove the sound insulation from the fuel tank access panel.

6. Loosen the panel mounting screws.

7. Disconnect the fuel level sensor connector.

8. Disconnect the fuel pipes from the sensor.

9. Using the LST 131 key, unscrew the retaining ring and remove the sensor.

Installation



10. Install the sensor on the tank, tighten the retaining ring to a torque of 45-50 N·m.

11. Reinstall the removed parts.
