NOTE: The removal procedure descriptions in this manual may contain installation steps.
Removal
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to procedure: Specifications (414-00 Charging System - General Information, Specifications).
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
WARNING: Ensure that the vehicle is supported securely.
3. Remove the fuel pump in the block with the fuel gauge sender. Refer to the procedure: Fuel Pump and Fuel Delivery Unit (310-01B Fuel Tank and Fuel Lines - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4, Removal and Installation).
4. Remove the left fuel level sensor.
Installation
Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
