CAUTION: The fuel line quick connector fitted to the TD4 is a new design. When performing maintenance to prevent fuel leakage, the quick connector must be properly loosened and connected. Use the correct method to release and reattach the connector, as detailed in the appropriate section of the service and repair manual (SRP). Improper operation of the quick connector will damage the connector and cause fuel to leak out.
The quick connector does not have an auto-shut function and will not prevent fuel from escaping when disconnected.
Both ends of the supply and return fuel lines are connected using quick connectors. The connector does not have an auto-shut function and does not prevent fuel from escaping when a fuel line is split.
