1 | - | Electronic rear differential control |
Control unit connected to CAN bus (local area network of controllers) and controls the operation of the differential using CAN bus messages transmitted by other LAN control units.
Input/output of all signals of the control unit is carried out through 3 connectors. DC supply voltage is supplied to the unit through a 40 A fuse located in the battery distribution block (BJB), and the ignition voltage - through fuse 24, located in the central distribution block (CJB).
When the ignition is switched off, the control unit memorizes the position of the electronically controlled rear differential motor.
The block controls the closed (feedback) positioning system built into the motor and regulates the motor supply voltage.
In case of replacement of the control unit, it is necessary to connect the T4 device to the vehicle and perform the procedure for automatic calibration of the electronic rear differential control unit. This procedure must also be performed if the motor or differential assembly has been replaced.
When a malfunction occurs in the electronically controlled rear differential or the control module, or if one of the required input signals, such as the road speed signal, fails, the control unit sets a fault code and the warning lamp on the instrument panel turns on.
