Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

Dismantling
1. Set the heater and air distribution system controls to the glass blowing mode.
CAUTION: Failure to do this will damage the air duct flap that supplies air to the feet.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Remove the passenger side cover panel.

4. Remove the lower casing.

5. Loosen the screw securing the floor duct to the bracket. Remove the duct.
6. Remove the 4 Torx screws and spring retainer from the right heater duct elbow. Remove the duct elbow.
CAUTION: Hold the spring clip before releasing it.
7. Disconnect the connector from the evaporator sensor, release the cable and remove the evaporator sensor.
Assembly
1. Carefully install the sensor and secure the sleeve.
2. Connect the connector block and secure the cable.
3. Position and secure the heater duct elbow.
4. Position and secure the lower heater duct.
5. Replace the lower casing.

6. Reinstall the passenger side lower shield.
