Dismantling

1. Disconnect the connector from the coolant temperature sensor.
2. Place a container to collect any leaking coolant.
3. Remove the coolant temperature sensor.
Installation
1. Clean the mating surfaces of the temperature sensor and the cylinder block.
2. Apply STC 50552 sealant to the threaded portion of the sensor.
3. Place a new sealing washer on the coolant temperature (ECT) sensor, screw it in and tighten it to 15 Nm.
4. Connect the coolant temperature sensor connector.
5. Make sure there are no leaks
and add liquid to the tank up to the "MAX" mark.
