Engine Control Module (ECM) (Freelander 1)

Block for implementing ignition and fuel supply strategies.

Dismantling

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.



2. Unscrew the 5 mounting bolts of the mounting box cover.



3. Unscrew the 2 bolts securing the control unit wiring harness clamp bar and remove the bar.

4. Unfasten the latches and disconnect the connectors from the control unit.



5. Release the two fasteners and remove the engine control module (ECM).

Installation

1. Install the engine control module (ECM) into the mounting box.

2. Connect the connectors to the control unit.

3. Install the control unit harness clamp and secure it with screws.

4. Install the cover of the mounting box and secure it with screws.

5. Connect the negative battery terminal.

6. Start the control unit using the TestBook/T4 diagnostic tool.
