Removal


1. Follow all safety rules when working with the airbag system.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Safety precautions when working with the airbag system (SRS).


2. Remove the front passenger seat.

SEATS, REPAIR WORK, Front seat.


3. Loosen the 2 cover fastening screws and remove the cover.


3. Loosen the 2 cover fastening screws and remove the cover.

4. Loosen the wiring harness junction box and set it aside.

5. Unscrew the 2 nuts securing the holder.

6. Release the tilt sensor from the holder, disconnect the connector and remove the sensor.

Installation


1. Install the sensor, connect the wire connector to its connector and secure it in the holder.

2. Install the holder on the studs and tighten the nuts to a torque of 3 Nm.

3. Install the junction box into the holder.

4. Install the cover and secure with screw clamps.

5. Install the front seat.

SEATS, REPAIR WORK, Front seat.


6. Initialize the sensor using the TestBook/T4 diagnostic tool.
