Driver Classification System Sensor (Freelander 2)

NOTE: The occupant classification sensor is built into the passenger seat cushion. This sensor is only installed on North American models.

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to procedure: Specifications (414-00 Charging System - General Information, Specifications).

2. Remove the front seat cushion cover. Refer to the procedure: Front Seat Cushion Cover (501-10 Seat, Removal and Installation).

Installation

1. Install the front seat cushion cover. Refer to the procedure: Front Seat Cushion Cover (501-10 Seat, Removal and Installation).

2. Connect the ground cable to the battery. Refer to Procedure: Specifications (414-00 Charging System - General Information, Specifications).

3. Use IDS to configure the new occupant classification sensor.
