If the electronic control unit needs to be replaced, connect the Testbook/T4 diagnostic tool and follow the recommended steps before disconnecting the battery.

Dismantling


1. Remove the battery tray.

2. Release the fasteners securing the electronic control unit cover to the engine compartment wall.…


2. Release the fasteners securing the electronic control unit cover to the engine compartment wall. Remove the cover.

3. Release the two fasteners securing the electronic control unit to the bracket on the engine…


3. Release the two fasteners securing the electronic control unit to the bracket on the engine compartment wall.

4. Remove the electronic control unit from the bracket, disconnect the three connector blocks and take out the electronic control unit.

Assembly


1. Place the electronic unit in place, connect the three connectors and secure the connector blocks.



2. Install the electronic control unit on the bracket and secure the clamps.

3. Install and secure the electronic control unit cover.

4. Replace the battery tray.
