1. Using a suitable container, drain the oil from the axle.
2. Mark the differential and driveshaft flanges to facilitate assembly.
3. Turn out four bolts and disconnect cardan shaft from differential. Take aside and tie.
4. Turn out 5 bolts of an external nave and take half shafts so as to disconnect them from differential.
5. Turn away 10 nuts of fastening of differential to a case of the bridge.
6. Remove differential.

NOTE: The differential can only be serviced as an assembly with the mating drive gear. Call Land Rover Technical Service for advice.
Clean the mating surfaces and apply a bead of sealant, part number STC 3811, to the axle housing.
8. Support the differential and apply it to the axle housing.
9. Secure with self-locking nuts and tighten to 40 Nm.
10. Align the marks on the flanges and connect the propeller shaft to the differential. Tighten the bolts to 48 Nm.
11. Install axle shafts using new outer hub spacers. Tighten the bolts to 65 Nm.
12. Fill axle with approved oil.
