Dismantling
1. Place the vehicle on a lift.
2. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
3. Remove the rear propeller shaft.
DRIVE SHAFTS, REPAIR WORK, Cardan shaft - rear.

4. Apply mounting marks to the drive shaft to facilitate subsequent assembly.
5. Remove the screw connecting the front and rear parts of the propeller shaft.
6. Remove the rear part of the propeller shaft.
7. Remove the adjusting shim from the shaft.

8. Place the press bars under the intermediate support as shown in the figure.
9. Install the LRT-37-011/2 tool onto the end of the propeller shaft and press the shaft out of the bearing.
Assembly
1. Clean the driveshaft parts, bearing and mating flanges.

2. Using the LRT-51-020 tool, install the intermediate support on the cardan shaft.
3. Install the adjusting shim on the propeller shaft.
4. Align the mounting marks and splines on the front and rear of the driveshaft.
5. Make sure the threaded portion of the screw connecting the front and rear parts of the propeller shaft is clean and dry, apply Loctite STC 50552 paste to it and tighten it to a torque of 97 N·m.
6. Install the rear propeller shaft.
DRIVE SHAFTS, REPAIR WORK, Cardan shaft - rear.
7. Lower the lift.
8. Connect the negative terminal to the battery.
