Removing
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the wheel and tire assembly. Refer to procedure: Wheel and tire (204-04 Wheels and tires, Removal and installation).
WARNING: Place secure stands under the vehicle.
2. Fix the brake caliper housing to the side.
CAUTION: Do not let the brake caliper hang from the brake hose.
Installation
1. Clean the brake caliper housing and base plate with clean brake fluid.
WARNING: Do not use compressed air to clean brake components. Dust from friction materials is harmful when it enters the lungs.
2. Clean and lubricate the guide pins.
3. Install guide pins.
4. Install the brake caliper support bracket. Tightening torque: 110 Nm
CAUTION: Use new bolts.
5. Install the brake caliper housing and insert the top bolt. Tightening torque: 35 Nm
CAUTION: Use new bolts.
6. Install clips and brake pads.
7. Align the brake caliper with the support bracket. Tightening torque: 30 Nm
Use new bolts. Make sure the brake hose is not kinked and is properly installed.
8. Install the wheel. Refer to procedure: Wheel and tire (204-04 Wheels and tires, Removal and installation).
