Removal
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the wheel and tire assembly. Refer to procedure: Wheel and Tire (204-04 Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).
WARNING: Ensure that the vehicle is supported securely.



2. Secure the brake caliper housing to the side.
CAUTION: Do not allow the brake caliper to hang by the brake hose.


Installation
1. Clean the brake caliper body and backing plate with clean brake fluid.
WARNING: Do not use compressed air to clean brake components. Dust from friction materials is harmful if inhaled.
2. Clean and lubricate the guide pins.
3. Install the guide pins.
4. Install the brake caliper support bracket. Tightening torque: 110 Nm
CAUTION: Use new bolts.
5. Install the brake caliper body and insert the upper bolt. Tightening torque: 35 Nm
CAUTION: Use new bolts.
6. Install the clamps and brake pads.
7. Align the brake caliper with the support bracket. Tightening torque: 30 Nm
Use new bolts. Make sure the brake hose is not twisted and is installed correctly.
