Dismantling


1. Remove the protective cover from the inner end of the right drive shaft.

DRIVE SHAFTS, REPAIR WORK, Seal - drive shaft - front - right.


2. Remove 4 screws, remove the differential cover with the bearing support and remove the sealing…


2. Remove 4 screws, remove the differential cover with the bearing support and remove the sealing ring.

NOTE: Do not perform further disassembly if the unit is removed only for ease of access.

Assembly


1. Clean the sealing ring, seal groove and mating surface.

2. Lubricate the new O-ring and install it into the differential cover.

3. Carefully install the differential cover in place, tighten the mounting screws and tighten them to a torque of 22 N·m.

4. Install the right drive shaft protective boot.
