Air intake box (Range Rover 3)

Dismantling


1. Release the hood lifting stops, lift the hood and secure it in a vertical position.

2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

3. Remove the rubber seal from the air intake molding.


3. Remove the rubber seal from the air intake molding.

4. Remove the cover from the «positive» cable.


4. Remove the cover from the "positive" cable.

5. Unscrew the nut and disconnect the "positive" cable from the terminal.

6. Unscrew the 2 nuts securing the air intake casing and remove the air intake casing assembly.

NOTE: If disassembly was performed only to provide access to other system components, no further disassembly operations should be performed.


7. Unscrew the 3 screws securing the air intake cover and remove the cover.

8. Remove the air filter.

Assembly


1. Install the air filter.

2. Install the cover and secure it with screws.

3. Install the air intake box assembly and tighten the mounting nuts to a torque of 10 N·m.

4. Connect the "positive" cable to the terminal and tighten the nut to a torque of 20 N·m.

5. Install the lid.

6. Install the air intake molding rubber seal.

7. Connect the negative battery terminal.

8. Attach the hood lifting stops and close the hood.
