Dismantling


1. Remove the automatic transmission filter.

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION - ZF 5HP24, REPAIR WORK, Filter - automatic transmission working fluid.


2. Disconnect the connector block from the automatic transmission.

3. Remove the connector block retainer and remove the connector block from the automatic transmission housing.

4. Remove the 2 Torx screws securing the speed sensor clamps, remove the clamps and speed sensors.

5. Evenly and gradually loosen and remove the 22 wide-belt Torx screws from the valve stem assembly.

6. Remove the valve block assembly.

Assembly


1. Wipe the valve block and all mating surfaces.

2. With the help of an assistant, install the valve block, connect the connector blocks and ensure that the selector fork matches the protrusion.

3. Tighten the 22 valve body Torx screws gradually and evenly to 10 Nm.

4. Install the automatic transmission connector retainer.

5. Connect the connector to the automatic transmission connector.

6. Install the sensor into the valve block, install the clamp and tighten the Torx screw to 10 Nm.

7. Install the automatic transmission filter.
