Dismantling
1. Place the vehicle on a lift.
2. Set the selector lever to position "P".
3. Remove the center console.

4. Remove the retainer securing the gear shift cable housing to the gear selector mechanism.
5. Loosen and remove the retainer securing the inner gear shift cable to the selector mechanism, remove the plastic spacer sleeve from the cable.

6. Loosen the nut securing the cable to the selector lever and remove the selector cable from the bracket.
7. Remove the cable with the guide bushing through the floor panel under the carpet.
Assembly
1. Pull the cable through the floor panel, install the guide bushing and carpet.
2. Install the selector cable into the bracket and selector lever and secure the selector cable into the bracket.
3. Tighten the nut securing the cable to the selector lever to a torque of 15 N·m.
4. Pull the cable to the selector mechanism, install the spacer sleeve, secure the cable with clamps.
5. Reinstall the center console.
