If you need to replace the electronic control unit, before disconnecting the battery, connect the Te51Book/T4 diagnostic device and follow the recommended steps.

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

Dismantling


1. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.

2. Remove the 10 Allen screws securing the electronics compartment cover and remove the cover.

3. Disconnect the three blue connector blocks of the automatic transmission electronic control unit.


3. Disconnect the three blue connector blocks of the automatic transmission electronic control unit.

4. Release the automatic transmission electronic control unit from the mounting bracket and remove it from the electronic control unit compartment.



Assembly


1. Install the automatic transmission control unit to the bracket and connect the connector blocks.

2. Install the electronics compartment cover, tighten the Allen screws and tighten them to 2 N·m.

3. Connect the negative terminal to the battery.
