Removing
1.
WARNING: It is forbidden to carry out work on a vehicle standing on only one jack. Always support the vehicle with jack stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Remove the air filter outlet pipe.
For more information, please refer to the chapter: Air Filter Outlet Line (303-12 Intake air distribution and filtration -Diesel engine ID4 2.4L, Removal and installation).
3. Disconnect the charge air cooler inlet hose. Release the clamp.
4. Disconnect the turbocharger electrical connector.
5. Remove the turbocharger heat shield. Turn out 5 bolts.
6. Remove and discard 4 catalytic converter nuts.
7. Remove and discard 4 catalytic converter studs.
8. Release the catalytic converter. Loosen and discard 2 nuts.
9. Release the catalytic converter. Loosen 4 bolts.
10. Remove the catalytic converter bracket. Turn out a bolt.

CAUTION: Plug all openings. Use new caps.
Disconnect the turbocharger oil supply line.
- Turn out a hollow bolt.
- Remove the sealing washers and discard them as no longer needed.

CAUTION: Plug all openings. Use new caps.
Release the turbocharger oil drain pipe.
- Turn out two bolts.
- Remove the gasket and send it for recycling.
13. Turn away 3 nuts of a turbocharger and cut off them.
14.
CAUTION: Plug all openings. Use new caps.
Remove the turbocharger.
- Remove the pin and discard it.
- Remove the gasket and send it for recycling.

NOTE: Do not proceed with further dismantling if the element is removed only for access.
Remove the turbocharger intake duct. Turn out two bolts.
Installation
1. Install the turbocharger intake duct. Tighten (tightening torque 23 Nm).
2.
NOTE: Remove and discard plugs.
Install the turbocharger.
- Install a new gasket.
- Install new studs.
3. Install new turbocharger nuts. tighten the nut (tightening torque 23 Nm).
4.
NOTE: Remove and discard plugs.
Attach the turbocharger oil return line.
- Install a new gasket.
- Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm.
5.
NOTE: Remove and discard plugs.
Connect the turbocharger oil supply line.
- Install new sealing washers.
- Tighten the hollow bolt to 35 Nm.
6. Install the catalytic converter bracket. Screw in the bolt, but do not tighten it.
7. Install 4 new studs on the catalytic converter.
8. Install 4 new nuts on the catalytic converter. Tighten (tightening torque 45 Nm).
9. Tighten (tightening torque 30 Nm).
10. Tighten (tightening torque 30 Nm).
11. Install new nuts. Tighten (tightening torque 30 Nm).
12. Tighten (tightening torque 20 Nm).
13. Install the turbocharger heat shield. Tighten (tightening torque 10 Nm).
14. Connect the turbocharger electrical connector.
15. Tighten (tightening torque 3 Nm).
16. Install the air filter outlet pipe.
