Removal


1. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Disconnecting and connecting the battery (414-01 Battery, Battery Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

WARNING: Never work on a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle with special stands.


Raise the vehicle and place supports underneath it.

3. Drain the transmission fluid from the gearbox.

4. Remove the clutch slave cylinder.

5. Install the special tool on the seal.

6. Using special tools, remove and discard the input shaft seal.
