Removal
1. Remove the transmission. Refer to procedure: Transmission (308-03 Manual/Transaxle Transmission, Removal).
2.
CAUTION: If brake fluid comes into contact with paintwork, immediately rinse the affected area with cold water.

3. Special tool: 303-538
CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the bearing.

4. Thread a 2.5 x 15mm self-tapping screw no more than 2 turns into the input shaft seal and remove the seal with pliers.

Installation
1. Wrap the input shaft splines with adhesive tape to protect the sealing ring from damage.
2. Special tool: 308-643

3. Remove the adhesive tape.
4. Install the clutch slave cylinder. Tightening torque: 11 Nm
5. Install the transaxle assembly. Refer to procedure: Transaxle (308-03 Manual/Transaxle Transaxle, Removal).
6. Bleed the clutch hydraulic system. Refer to procedure: Bleeding the Clutch System (308-00 Manual/Transaxle Transaxle and Clutch - General Information, General Procedures).
