Dismantling


1. Remove the tailgate panel.

DOORS, REPAIR WORK, Inner panel - upper luggage compartment door.


2. Remove the 4 Torx screws securing the lock and lock bracket to the trunk lid.


2. Remove the 4 Torx screws securing the lock and lock bracket to the trunk lid.

3. Disconnect the connector block from the door lock.


3. Disconnect the connector block from the door lock.

4. Remove the lock assembly.

NOTE: If disassembly was performed only to provide access to other system components, no further disassembly operations should be performed.


5. Disconnect the manual door opening cable.

6. Remove the 3 Torx screws securing the lock bracket to the lock. Remove the inner plate.

Assembly


1. Align the bracket with the lock, install the screws and tighten them to a torque of 10 Nm.

2. Connect the manual door opening cable.



3. Position the lock assembly on the door and connect the connector block.

4. Install the mounting screws and tighten them to a torque of 10 Nm.

5. Install the tailgate panel.

6. Adjust the tailgate bumper.
