Electronic control unit parking assistance system (Range Rover 3)

If it is necessary to replace the electronic control unit, then before disconnecting the battery, it is necessary to connect the Testbook / T4 and perform the recommended actions.

Before disconnecting the battery, carefully read the "Disconnecting the Battery" section and follow all instructions therein.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.

Removal



1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

2. Remove the hatch located in the trunk on the right side.

3. Remove the warning triangle.

4. Remove the wiring harness retaining strap.


4. Remove the wiring harness retaining strap.

5. Loosen the 2 wiring harness clamps.

6. Unscrew the 3 bolts securing the fuse box to the body.

7. Disconnect the 3 connectors from the parking assistance control unit.


7. Disconnect the 3 connectors from the parking assistance control unit.



8. Unscrew the 2 nuts securing the parking assistance system control unit.

Installation


1. Install the parking assist control unit and secure it with nuts.

2. Connect the pads to the parking assistance system control unit.

3. Install the fuse box and tighten the bolts to 6 N·m.

4. Replace the wiring harness and secure it.

5. Install and secure the emergency installation sign.

6. Install the hatch back into place.

7. Connect the ground cable of the battery.
