Electronic control unit (ECU) — parking assistance — models from 04MY (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. 3-door models: Remove the right rear corner trim panel.

2. 5-door models: Remove the right rear corner trim panel.

INTERIOR TRIM PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Lower decorative panel of the luggage compartment of a 5-door car.

3. Disconnect the 2 connectors from the parking assistance control unit.

4. Unscrew the 2 nuts securing the parking assistance system control unit to the bracket and remove the ECU.

Installation

1. Position the parking assist control unit in the mounting bracket, install the nuts and tighten to a torque of 4 Nm.

2. Connect the pads to the parking assistance system control unit.

3. Install the right rear corner trim panel.
