Crankshaft pulley (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all precautions specified for this procedure have been followed.

Removal

1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

2. Remove the lower protective cover.

EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Engine protection - front.

3. Remove the accessory drive belt.

ENGINE STARTING AND BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM, REPAIR WORK, Attachment drive belt - Td6 engine.

4. Loosen and discard the 4 bolts securing the pulley to the crankshaft. Remove the pulley.

Installation

1. Clean the pulley and mating surface.

2. Install the pulley.

3. While holding the pulley in the correct position with the LRT-12-213 tool, screw in new Torx bolts and tighten them sequentially to 40 N·m. Then tighten the bolts by 60° and then another 60°.

4. Install the accessory drive belt.

5. Install the lower casing.

6. Connect the negative cable to the battery.
