Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all precautions specified for this procedure have been followed.
GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.
Removal
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. Remove the injectors.
ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Td6:, REPAIR WORK, Injector.

3. Disconnect the connector from the camshaft position sensor.
4. Disconnect the connector from the absolute pressure and intake air temperature sensor.
5. Release the wire harness and vacuum tube from the clamp.

6. Remove the clamp securing the vacuum hose and wiring harness to the vacuum tube.
7. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum receiver.
8. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the valve cover.
9. Disconnect the fuel return line from the valve cover.

10. Disconnect the engine harness from the clamps and move it away from the valve cover.
11. Remove the sealing bushing from the fuel rail.

12. Sequentially loosen and unscrew the 18 valve cover mounting bolts.
13. Remove the valve cover and discard its gasket.
Installation
1. Wipe the mating surfaces of the valve cover and cylinder head.
2. Install the new gasket and bolts onto the valve cover.

3. Apply a bead of STC 5050 sealant 2 mm high and 2 mm wide as shown in the figure.
4. Install the valve cover in place and tighten it evenly with the bolts. Tightening torque 10 Nm.
5. Install the sealing bushing onto the fuel rail.

6. Secure the engine harness to the clamps.
7. Secure the fuel return line and engine harness to the valve cover.
8. Attach the vacuum hose to the valve cover and connect it to the vacuum receiver.
9. Install the clamp securing the vacuum hose and wiring harness to the vacuum tube.
10. Connect the connector to the absolute pressure and intake air temperature sensor.
11. Connect the connector to the camshaft position sensor.
12. Install the injectors.

13. Connect the negative cable to the battery.
