Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all precautions specified for this procedure have been followed.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.

Removal


1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

2. Release the three clamps from the vacuum hose on the left engine mount.


2. Release the three clamps from the vacuum hose on the left engine mount.

3. Unscrew the nut securing the left engine support to the support bracket.

4. Place a support under the left side of the engine sump.

5. Unscrew the 3 bolts securing the left support bracket to the engine and remove the bracket.


5. Unscrew the 3 bolts securing the left support bracket to the engine and remove the bracket.

6. Unscrew the 2 bolts securing the left support to the subframe, disconnect the vacuum hoses and…


6. Unscrew the 2 bolts securing the left support to the subframe, disconnect the vacuum hoses and remove the support.

CAUTION: To prevent contamination, install plugs on open connectors.


Installation


1. Wipe the mating surfaces.

2. Connect the vacuum hoses to the support and install the support on the subframe.

3. Screw in the support mounting bolts to the subframe, but do not tighten them.

4. Install the support bracket and tighten the new bolts. Tightening torque is 20 Nm with an additional 90° turn.

5. Tighten the support mounting bolts to the subframe. Tightening torque 100 Nm.

6. Screw the engine support bracket mounting nut onto the support and tighten it. Tightening torque 100 Nm.

7. Remove the support from under the engine.

8. Secure the vacuum hose to the clamps.

9. Connect the negative cable to the battery.
