Oil pressure contact sensor (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all precautions specified for this procedure have been followed.

Removal

1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.



2. Disconnect the connector from the oil pressure sensor.

3. Lay out a rag to collect any spilled oil.

4. Unscrew the pressure contact sensor and dispose of the sealing washer.

Installation

1. Wipe the threads of the oil pressure sensor.

2. Install a new sealing washer onto the oil pressure switch.

3. Screw in the oil pressure sensor and tighten it. Tightening torque 14 Nm.

4. Connect the connector to the oil pressure sensor.

5. Check the oil level and top up if necessary.

6. Connect the negative cable to the battery.
