Left engine mount (Freelander 2)

NOTE: The removal procedure descriptions in this manual may contain installation steps.

Removal

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: Ensure that the vehicle is supported securely.

2. Remove the lower engine cover. Refer to procedure: Engine Cover (501-02 Front Body Panels, Removal and Installation).

3. Support the gearbox. General equipment: Transmission jack

4. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to procedure: Air Cleaner (303-12A Intake Air Distribution and Filtration - 3.2L NA - I6, Removal and Installation).

5. Remove the battery tray. Refer to the procedure: Battery Installation Tray (414-01 Battery, Battery Fastener and Cables, Removal and Installation).

6. Remove the bracket. Tightening torque: M12 80 Nm; M8 25 Nm

WARNING: Use new nuts.

NOTE: Vehicles with automatic transmission have a breather line attached to the support.

7. Remove the left engine mount. Tightening torque: 175 Nm

Installation

When installing, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.
