Flywheel (Freelander 2)

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Procedure: Specifications (414-00 Charging System - General Information, Specifications).

2. Raise the car.

WARNING: Ensure that the vehicle is supported securely.

3. Remove the clutch pressure plate and driven plate. Refer to the procedure: Clutch Driven and Pressure Plates (308-01 Clutch, Removal and Installation).

4.

NOTE: Secure the flywheel.

Installation

1. Tightening torque: Step 1: 33 Nm. Step 2: 34°

Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown. Use new bolts.

2. Install the clutch slave plate and pressure plate. Refer to the procedure: Clutch Slave Plate and Pressure Plate (308-01 Clutch, Removal and Installation).



3. Connect the ground cable to the battery. Refer to Procedure: Specifications (414-00 Charging System - General Information, Specifications).
