Dismantling


1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the accessory drive belt.

3. If equipped with an air conditioning system: Remove the compressor drive belt.

4. Remove the right front wheel.

CAUTION: Do not work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle with safety stands.

5. Install the LRT-12-177 extension tool onto the crankshaft pulley to secure it.

6. Loosen the bolt securing the pulley to the crankshaft and remove the washer.

7. Remove the pulley from the crankshaft.

Installation


1. Clean the pulley and mating surface.

2. Install the pulley.

3. Place the washer on the new bolt and tighten the bolt to an initial torque of 100 Nm, then turn it further by 60°, then by another 60° and finally by 30°.

4. Models with air conditioning: Install the compressor drive belt.

5. Install the accessory drive belt.

6. Reinstall the right wheel and tighten the nuts to a torque of 115 Nm.

7. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.

8. Connect the negative battery terminal.
