Dismantling
1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
2. Remove the flywheel.
ENGINE - Td4, Intake and exhaust camshafts, Flywheel.
3. Models with automatic transmission: Remove the torque converter drive plate.
ENGINE - Td4, Intake and exhaust camshafts, Torque converter drive plate.
4. Remove the pan with gasket.
ENGINE - Td4, Intake and exhaust camshafts, Sump top gasket.
5. Turn away 6 bolts and remove the case of an epiploon. Dispose of the gasket.
6. Remove the stuffing box from the housing and discard it.
Installation
1. Wipe down the stuffing box and mating surfaces.
2. Remove the protective shell from the new stuffing box and install it on the body, hammer it in using the LRT-12-179 and LRT-12-180 mandrels as shown in the figure. Reinstall the protective sheath on the stuffing box.
3. Install a new oil seal housing gasket on the cylinder block so that it rests on the guide pins.
4. Install the gland housing on the guide pins, tighten the M6 bolts and tighten them to a torque of 10 Nm, tighten the M8 bolts and tighten them to a torque of 22 Nm, remove the protective shell from the stuffing box.
5. Install the pan with gasket.
ENGINE - Td4, Intake and exhaust camshafts, Sump top gasket.
6. Install the flywheel.
ENGINE - Td4, Intake and exhaust camshafts, Flywheel.
7. Automatic transmission models: Install the torque converter drive plate.
ENGINE - Td4, Intake and exhaust camshafts, Torque converter drive plate.
8. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
