Checking oil pressure (Freelander 1)

Examination

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Unscrew the oil pressure sensor contact.

ENGINE - Td4, Inlet and outlet camshafts, Oil pressure sensor.

3. Install the sealing washer onto the LRT-12-052/10 pressure gauge adapter.

4. Install the LRT-052/10 adapter in place of the contact pressure sensor and tighten it.

5. Install the LRT-12-052C pressure gauge and tighten the fitting.

6. Check the oil level and top up if necessary.

MAINTENANCE, Engine oil and oil filter - Td4.

7. Reinstall the starter.

ENGINE STARTING AND BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM, REPAIR WORK, Starter - Td4 engine.

8. Connect the negative battery terminal.

9. Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature.

10. Record the oil pressure value with the engine running without load at 3500 rpm.

11. Turn off the engine.

12. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

13. Remove the starter.

14. Unscrew the pressure gauge.

15. Unscrew the adapter.

16. Wipe away any oil stains.

17. Install the oil pressure sensor.
