GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.
Dismantling
1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
2. Empty the air conditioning system and collect the refrigerant.
AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM, AIR CONDITIONER DRAINAGE, REFRIGERANT RECOVERY AND CHARGING, Air Conditioner Emptying - Refrigerant Recovery and Charging.
3. Remove the viscous fan clutch.
COOLING SYSTEM: Td6, REPAIR WORK, Viscous fan clutch.
COOLING SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Viscous fan clutch.
4. Turn out screws of fastening of a radiator from the panel of the lock of a cowl.
5. Tilt the heatsink assembly back and release and remove the retainers securing the heatsink.
6. Remove the 2 Allen type screws holding the A/C lines to the condenser, disconnect the pipes, remove and discard the O-rings.
CAUTION: Before disconnecting or removing system components, make sure that the surfaces adjacent to the connection points are free of dirt. Install plugs in fittings and piping to keep dirt out of the system.
7. Remove the Torx screw securing the capacitor to the bracket.
8. Carefully remove the capacitor.
Assembly
1. Install the capacitor and secure it with the Torx screw.
2. Move the heatsink to the mounting position, install and secure the retainers.
3. Secure the radiator assembly by connecting it to the hood latch panel.
4. Lubricate the new O-rings with clean special oil and install one in each of the A/C lines.
5. Attach the air conditioner pipes to the condenser, tighten the fixing screws and tighten them with a torque of 9 Nm.
6. Install the viscous fan clutch.

7. Prime the air conditioning system.

8. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
