NOTE: The water trap should be replaced if any of the following occur:
- There is dirt in the air conditioning system (compressor stuck).
- The tightness of the system is broken, and the refrigerant enters the atmosphere.
- As a result of the repair, the air conditioning system remained open for more than 24 hours.
Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all the requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

Dismantling
1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
2. Empty the air conditioning system and collect the refrigerant.

3. Remove the viscous fan clutch.
COOLING SYSTEM: Td6, REPAIR WORK, Viscous fan clutch.
COOLING SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Viscous fan clutch.
4. Turn out screws of fastening of a radiator from the panel of the lock of a cowl.
5. Tilt the heatsink assembly back and release and remove the retainers securing the heatsink.
6. Remove the lid of the water separator tank from the condenser.
CAUTION: Before disconnecting or removing system components, make sure that the surfaces adjacent to the connection points are free of dirt. Install plugs in fittings and piping to keep dirt out of the system.
7. Insert a 5mm screw into the center stem of the dehumidifier tank, press the stem and remove the circlip.
8. Remove the rod, carefully remove the water separator from the condenser and discard the water separator.
9. Remove and discard O-ring.
Assembly
1. Clean the surface of the tank and center rod.
2. Install the moisture divider.
3. Lubricate the new O-rings with clean refrigerant, install the center rod and secure it with a circlip. Remove the screw from the center rod.
4. Install the water divider cover.
5. Move the heatsink to the mounting position, install and secure the retainers.
6. Secure the radiator assembly by connecting it to the hood latch panel.
7. Install the viscous fan clutch.

8. Prime the A/C system.

9. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
