Front door lock actuator (Defender 2007+)

Removal

1. Remove the door trim panel.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Front Door Trim Panel (501-05 Interior trim, Removal and installation).

2. Carefully remove the plastic sheet to reveal the mechanism.

3. Release the clamp, disconnect and remove the lock solenoid rod.

4. Loosen the two screws securing the solenoid, release the solenoid from the support panel, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the solenoid.

Installation

1. Connect the electrical connector to the solenoid, position the solenoid on the support panel and tighten the screws.

2. Install and secure the rod.

3. Adjust the door latch cable.
