Rear door outer handle (Defender 2007+)

Removal

1. Remove the door trim panel.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Rear Door Trim Panel (501-05 Interior trim, Removal and installation).

2. In place, remove the plastic sheet to gain access to the handle mechanism.

3. Disconnect the drive rod from the handle drive lever.

4. Remove the two screws and remove the handle and frames.

Installation

1. Install the handle onto the door, making sure both frame pieces are in place with the flat surfaces facing the door, and secure with two screws.

2. Connect the drive rod to the handle drive lever and secure with a spring clip.

3. Put the plastic sheet back in place.

4. Install the door trim panel.
