Rear door outer handle (Freelander 2)

NOTE: If removing the outside handle while removing other interior door components, it is recommended to release the outside door handle and screw cover from the inside of the door after removing the door trim pad, window regulator and motor.

Removal

1. Release the two clamps.



2. To remove the rear door outer handle without removing the door trim padding.



3. To remove the rear door outer handle after removing the door trim padding and window regulator.

Installation

1. When installing, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.

2. Using a wire of appropriate length, hold the lock lever in a spring-loaded state while pressing on the outer handle.
