Motor reducer of the luggage compartment door lock (Defender 2007+)

Removal


1. Remove the rear door trim panel.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Tailgate trim panel (501-05 Interior trim, Removal and installation).

2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear door lock motor.

3. Remove the bolt and screw securing the rear door lock motor to the rear door.

4. Release the clamp securing the wiring harness to the rear door lock motor support bracket.

5. Disconnect the rear door lock motor assembly from the drive rod.

5. Disconnect the rear door lock motor assembly from the drive rod.


6. Remove the 2 screws securing the rear door lock motor to the support bracket.

6. Remove the 2 screws securing the rear door lock motor to the support bracket.


Installation


1. Install the rear door lock motor to the support bracket and secure it with screws.

2. Connect the drive rod to the rear door lock motor.



3. Install the rear door lock motor to the door, screw in the screw and tighten the bolt to 6 Nm.

4. Install the wiring harness to the rear door lock motor support bracket and secure it with the clamp.

5. Connect the electrical connector to the rear door lock motor.

6. Install the rear door trim panel.
