Standards for the time required to complete work with roof panels
The following time standards apply to the replacement of roof panels as individual panels. The published time standards include removal of mechanical, electrical, and decorative elements, plus painting time calculated based on the time required to paint elements stripped to bare metal (mixing of paint at joints with adjacent panels is not included in the standards). Time for application of corrosion protection is included in the standards where required.
Time standards were developed by the research center for insurance and repair (Motor Insurance Repair and Research Centre), and should be used for reference only. Standards are developed based on the time required to work with new, undamaged panels. Working tolerances are not included in the standard. The Insurance and Repair Center recommends adding 0.3 hours to the time standards for working with individual panels.
