Electric motor of the outside rear view mirror (Range Rover 3)

Dismantling

1. Remove the outside mirror glass.

2. Remove the rear view mirror.

EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Rear view mirror - external.

3. Remove the cover from the mirror hinge.

4. Remove the 4 Torx screws securing the mirror to the hinge casting.

5. Remove the toothed washer securing the mirror cables to the hinge plate.

6. Remove the cable connector retainer.



7. Remove the 4 screws securing the electric motor to the mirror housing, pull out the cable and remove the electric motor.

Assembly

1. Install the cable, place the motor into the mirror housing and secure it with screws.

2. Route the cable harness through the hinge housing, install and tighten the Torx screws.



3. Install the hinge decorative cover and secure it.

4. Position the cable and secure it with the toothed washer.

5. Install the retainer onto the connector block.

6. Install the rear view mirror.

7. Replace the rearview mirror glass.
