Right Row Ignition Coil Cover (Range Rover 3)

Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.

Dismantling


1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the engine soundproofing cover.

V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Engine soundproofing casing.


3. Remove 2 plugs from the ignition coil cover.


3. Remove 2 plugs from the ignition coil cover.

4. Unscrew the 2 bolts securing the ignition coil cover to the valve cover.

5. Remove the right ignition coil cover.

6. Remove the 2 spacer washers from the ignition coil cover.

NOTE: If disassembly was performed only to provide access to other system components, no further disassembly operations should be performed.


7. Unscrew the nut and remove the ground wire from the valve cover.

8. Disconnect the connectors from the ignition coils.


8. Disconnect the connectors from the ignition coils.



9. Discard the ignition coil cover gasket.

Assembly


1. Install a new ignition coil cover gasket.

2. Place the connectors on the ignition coils.

3. Place the ground wire on the valve cover and tighten the nut. Tightening torque 4 N·m.

4. Install 2 spacer washers onto the ignition coil cover.

5. Install the ignition coil cover, screw in and tighten the 2 bolts.

6. Insert 2 plugs into the ignition coil cover.

7. Reinstall the engine soundproofing cover.

V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Engine soundproofing casing.
