Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

Dismantling
1. Remove the engine soundproofing cover.
V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Engine soundproofing casing.
2. Remove the left ignition coil cover.
ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Left-hand ignition coil cover.
3. Remove the right ignition coil cover.
ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Right bank ignition coil cover.

4. Unscrew 2 nuts and remove the ground wires from the valve covers.

5. Disconnect the connectors from the ignition coils.
6. Discard the ignition coil cover gasket.

7. Unscrew the 14 ignition coil mounting nuts. Remove the 8 ignition coils.
Assembly
1. Insert 8 ignition coils.
2. Install the 14 ignition coil mounting nuts and tighten them to a torque of 4 Nm.
3. Install a new ignition coil cover gasket.
4. Place the connectors on the ignition coils.
5. Place the ground wire on the valve cover and tighten the nut. Tightening torque 4 N·m.
6. Install the right ignition coil cover.

7. Install the left ignition coil cover.
ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Left-hand ignition coil cover.
8. Reinstall the engine soundproofing cover.
