Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.

Dismantling
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the air intake hose.
ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Hose connecting the air flow sensor to the throttle body.

3. Cut the 3 plastic ties and release the camshaft position (CMP) sensor harness.

4. Disconnect the connector from the camshaft position (CMP) sensor.

5. Remove the camshaft position (CMP) sensor mounting bolt and remove the sensor. Discard the sealing ring.
Assembly
1. Wipe the camshaft position (CMP) sensor and mating surfaces.
2. Install a new sealing ring.
3. Install the camshaft position (CMP) sensor, screw in the bolt and tighten it to 10 Nm.
4. Secure the camshaft position sensor harness with three plastic cable ties.
5. Connect the connector to the camshaft position (CMP) sensor.
6. Reinstall the air intake hose.
ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Hose connecting the air flow sensor to the throttle body.
7. Connect the negative battery terminal.
8. If a new sensor has been installed, reconfigure the control system using the TestBook/T4 device.
