Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that all requirements and conditions contained in the section on disconnecting the battery are met.
GENERAL INFORMATION, Precautions when working with electrical equipment.
Dismantling
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the air intake hose.
ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Hose connecting the air flow sensor to the throttle body.

3. Disconnect the connector from the MAF/IAT sensor.

4. Disconnect the MAF/IAT sensor clips and remove the sensor.
NOTE: When removing the MAF/IAT sensor, the air cleaner cover O-ring may come off.
Assembly
1. Install the air cleaner cover O-ring.
2. Lubricate the O-ring with clean engine oil.
3. Insert the MAF/IAT sensor into the air cleaner cover and secure with the latches.
4. Connect the connector to the MAF/IAT sensor.
5. Reinstall the air intake hose.
ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: V8 engine, REPAIR WORK, Hose connecting the air flow sensor to the throttle body.
6. Connect the negative battery terminal.
7. If a new sensor has been installed, reconfigure the control system using the TestBook/T4 device.
