Removal


1. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Disconnecting and connecting the battery (414-01 Battery, Battery Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

2. Release the high pressure air conditioner pipe. Unscrew the bolt.

3. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose.

4. Disconnect the two electrical connectors from the low brake fluid indicator.

5. Remove the master brake cylinder. Unscrew the 2 nuts.

NOTE: Right side shown, same for left side.


Remove 2 sealing rings from the brake pedal housing.

Remove 2 sealing rings from the brake pedal housing.


7. Remove the brake booster pin. Remove and discard the cotter pin.

8.
NOTE: Right side shown, same for left side.


Remove the brake booster. Unscrew the 2 nuts.

Remove the brake booster. Unscrew the 2 nuts.





Installation


1. Install the elements in place in the reverse order. Tighten (tightening torque 14 Nm).

2. Tighten (tightening torque 26 Nm).

3. Connect the ground wire to the battery.
