Removal
1. Remove the upper cooling fan shroud. Remove six screws.

NOTE: Cooling fan shown removed for clarity.
Loosen the accessory drive belt tension.
- Turn the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise.
- Remove the accessory drive belt from the brake vacuum pump pulley.

3. Disconnect the vacuum pipe of the brake system vacuum pump.

Warnings:
- Plug all openings. Use new plugs.
- Mark the position of the mounting bolts for subsequent installation.
Remove the brake vacuum pump.
- Remove 3 bolts.
- Remove the gasket and dispose of it.

Installation
1.
CAUTION: Insert the mounting bolts into the previously marked holes.
NOTE: Remove and discard plugs.
NOTE: Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
NOTE: Install a new gasket.
Install the brake system vacuum pump. Tighten (tightening torque 23 Nm).

2. Connect the vacuum pipe of the brake system vacuum pump.

Install the accessory drive belt.
- Turn the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise.

4. Install the upper cooling fan shroud. Tighten the six screws.
