Brake Vacuum Pump 2.2L Duratorq — Td4 (Freelander 2)

NOTE: The removal procedure description may contain installation steps.

Removal

1. Remove the cover and disconnect the ground cable from the battery. Refer to procedure: Specifications (414-00 Charging System - General Information, Specifications).

2. Remove the engine trim. Refer to procedure: Engine Cover - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4 (501-05 Interior Trim, Removal and Installation).

3. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to procedure: Air Cleaner (303-12B Intake Air Distribution and Filtration - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4, Removal and Installation).

4. Tightening torque: 9 Nm

CAUTION: Plug all openings.

6. Tightening torque: 9 Nm

CAUTION: Seals may be reused unless damaged.

7. Tightening torque: 9 Nm

NOTE: Do not perform further disassembly if the component is removed only for access.

Installation

1. Install the elements back in place, working in reverse order.

CAUTION: Clean mating surfaces of any foreign material.
